(From Ozark Funeral Home)Ralph Dean Shorter was born in Lakin, KS to Harry Shorter & Betty Pope Shorter, the oldest of five children in the union. He died at the age of 69 after a month-long illness and complications brought on by COVID.
Ralph was a dedicated Christian with a desire to share God’s Love and His Word with others. Ralph was married to Sally Sharp on June 14, 1975, and she survives.

Eight brothers: Terry Dean, Larry (Helen) Dean, Gerald (Ellen) Dean, Harold (Vicki) Shorter, Harry (Tina) Shorter, Jr., Michael (Tracy) Dean, & Kaile (Ellen) Dean. Three sisters: Christie Davis, Kimberly (Harold) Reese, and Vivian (John) Kimbrough.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents, three brothers: Danny Dean, Billie Dean, and Randall Shorter; and three sisters: Victoria Bloom, Tina Riley, and Lisa McMurray.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, in the Southwest City Full Gospel Church with Reverend Roger Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Southwest City Full Gospel Church, of Southwest City, Missouri.
