(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Hailey May Shiley, 23, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Freeman Hospital.
Hailey was a lifetime Carthage resident who liked to volunteer at The Sirloin Stockade. She was the first female graduate of the Leffen Center for Autism in Joplin and enjoyed the Community Support Services of Joplin.
Hailey really liked to go bowling, dancing, summer camp, liked to draw, make videos, and was a very people oriented type of person. She was also an animal lover, she had cats, dogs, chickens, and pigs. She really liked to spend time in her old cars. She had a ’36 Ford, a ’55 Studebaker, a ’60 Corsair, ’06 Ford Taurus and one of her favorite things to do was to get in there, crank the radio, and rock out.
Hailey is survived by her mom, Pamela Denison and her step-dad and best friend, Chester Pendergraft, both of Carthage; two brothers, Todd Shiley (Veronica) of Rogers, Arkansas and Justin Portz of San Diego, California; one sister Jessica Benge (Chris) of Baxter Springs, Kansas; one great-aunt Joan; and one good friend, Sam Dobbins of Bursitis, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her dad Patrick Daniel Shiley and her great- aunt Ruth.
