(From Nichols-Stephens Funeral Home)Michael E. Testa, age 72, of Grove, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK.
Mike was born on July 9, 1949, in Webb City, MO to Albert and Wuanita (Brown) Testa. He grew up in Southwest City, MO and graduated from McDonald County High School.
At one time, Mike owned and operated a gas station in Southwest City. He worked for Tyson Foods for a short time, before settling on a career at Precision Machine and Manufacturing. Mike began working in the early 80’s as machinist. Upon the purchase of their 1st CNC lathe, Mike worked with his cousin Tony Caudill. Tony was the setup man and Mike was the machine operator on a N4 Mazak through his career.
Mike retired early from Precision Machine to take care of his mother, and after her passing, his sister Sharon. Mike and his sister were never apart, living together for 67 years.
Mike was an avid University of Oklahoma and St Louis Cardinals sports fan. Also, for several years he volunteered to coach T-ball. He enjoyed fishing, had a great sense of humor and was proud of his Italian heritage, jokingly blaming it for his quick temper. Mike had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and knew him as his personal Savior. He loved his church family at Dodge Baptist Church, and was a faithful member.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory, sisters: Sharon Testa of Grove and Patti McCormick of Webb City, MO and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
