(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)Wilma K. Adamson, 90, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on December 14, 2021 at 2:55 A.M., at Ascension Living Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, KS.
She was born on July 1, 1931 in Nortonville, KS, the daughter of Earl and Sarah (Crouch) Stephan.
Wilma attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, where she received her B.A. in teaching. She taught elementary school at various locations in Crawford County throughout her life. She was also the director of a daycare center.
Wilma was married to John P. Adamson on August 25, 1982 in Pittsburg, KS. He preceded her in death in 2009.
She was a member of Seventh Day Baptist Church in Nortonville, KS.
Wilma is survived by her son, Mark J. Adamson; her three daughters, Kathleen Schafer, Daleville, AL; Veronica Hill, Carthage, MO; Shelly Morgan, Pittsburg, KS; and 15 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband John P. Adamson; two brothers, Curtis and Wilmer Stephan; and two sisters, Julia McCoy and Alice Maxom.
A visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Nortonville Cemetery in Nortonville, KS.
