(From Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary)Gary Joseph Schriever, 70, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at his home.
Gary was born May 14, 1951 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Roland Louis and Mary Agnes (Henke) Schriever. Gary was a lifelong Joplin area resident and graduated from McAuley Catholic High School in 1968. After high school Gary proudly served his county in the United States Army. Gary worked from many years at Teledyne Industries in Neosho, Missouri.
Gary had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoors. He cherished all the memories created with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by a brother Larry Schriever.
Gary is lovingly survived by his siblings, Roland Louis Schriever II and wife, Susan, Alan Schriever, Dina Shriver, Mark Schriever and Jim Schriever; nieces and nephews, Courtney Schriever Plunkett and husband, Mark, Lindsay Schriever Underwood and husband, Nick, Harley Schriever and wife, Tasha, Lane Friedman and husband, Matt Lonardo, Ruben Friedman, Grace Schriever, Jacob Schriever, Rachel Schriever; great nieces and nephews, Makayla Plunkett, Chelsea Plunkett, Camille Plunkett, Graham Underwood, Emersen Underwood, Rhys Underwood, Jackson Schriever, Jaelyn Schriever, Aria Lonardo, Arlo Lonardo; together with a host of extended family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Reverend Joe Weidenbenner officiating. Inurnment will be at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.
