Lynn Greathouse

Merdalyn “Lynn” Greathouse, 40, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed way Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after a sudden illness.

Lynn was born on Sunday, August 23, 1981 in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, Philippines to the union of Daniel and Mercy Bulfa.

On June 4, 2010 she married the love of her life, Richard Dean Greathouse. To this union three sons were born, twins, Aaron, Adam and Abel. 








Lynn was a devoted and amazing stay at home mom who took extraordinary care of her sons. She loved being a wife and mother, helping with the family business, working on the farm, and being involved with her son’s activities. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie. Lynn touched so many lives in many ways and will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Lynn was so happy the day she was granted her United States Citizenship in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mercy Bulfa.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Richard Dean Greathouse; her sons, Aaron Greathouse, Adam Greathouse and Abel Greathouse; father Daniel Bulfa of the Philippines; siblings, Cenejune Bulfa, Demie Bulfa, Daniel Bulfa, Jr., Jiffy Bulfa, Jim Bulfa and Joyce Beasley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Charlotte Greathhouse, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Lynn are 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, with Pastor Bob Holman officiating. Interment will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are David Everts, Nate Everts, Rob Greathouse, Tony Mayfield, Chris Long and Sean Holman. Honorary pallbearer will be Dean Greathouse.
