Joyce Pearson

Joyce Ann (Vance) Pearson, Neosho, entered into rest on January 11, 2022 in Neosho, Missouri at the age of 81. Joyce was born January 9, 1941, the daughter of Harry and Judy (Ragland) Vance. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Granby High School. 

Following high school, Joyce worked for the Newton County Public Administrator and also worked with her husband, Rex at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Granby and was a homemaker. Joyce enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with grandsons. 

On May 26, 1957, she married Rex C. Pearson and he preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Andy Pearson and Susan (James) Craig, both of Neosho; three grandsons, Austin (Paige Oxendine) Craig of Springfield, Missouri, Pearce Craig of Granby, Missouri and Carson (A.J. Hughes) Craig of Neosho, Missouri and two nieces, Becky Curry and Libby Richardson. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother in law and sister in law, Gene and Phyllis Pearson.
