Bob Briley

Robert “Bob” Briley, Age 87 of Joplin, MO passed away early Sunday, September 4th, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.

Bob was born on December 19th, 1934 in Van Buren, AR to Ray and Edith Briley. He graduated with the class of 1952 from Sarcoxie High School. Bob then attended Franklin Tech and MSSC. He served as a Sergeant in the MO Army National Guard from 1953-1962. 

Bob was employed at Eagle Picher, Freeman Health System, General Steel and Four State Supply finally retiring in 2003. Bob was a member of Blendville Christian Church. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and gardening. He was quite the handyman and could do or fix anything.








He married Madonna Cole on November 24th, 1954, she survives. Additional survivors include a son; Steven Briley and wife Ginger of Diamond, MO, Two grandchildren; Andrea Jones, Matthew Briley and wife Aimee, four great grandchildren; Avery Jones, Austin Briley, Anthony Briley and Mason Briley, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jerry and Derrill, and sister, Shirley Daugherty.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Blendville Christian Church in care of the mortuary.








Graveside services have been scheduled for 1:00PM Friday, September 9th, 2022, at Osborne Memorial Cemetery, the family will receive friends during a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:00PM Friday, at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
