Bobbie Cox

Bobbie Lee Cox, 92, of Anderson, Missouri, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday evening, on his birthday, September 7, 2022, at the McDonald County Living Center, in Anderson, Missouri.

Bobbie entered this life on September 7, 1930, at his home in Bethpage Community, Missouri, born to the late Charles and Lona (Moore) Cox. 

On February 19, 1955 he was united in marriage to Edith Evelyn Williams; she passed away on September 6, 1973; together they shared 22 years together and to this union three children were born, Fred Cox, Brett Cox and Tammy Lou Cox. 








On April 26, 1975, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Barclay, sharing 47 years together.

When he was 21 years old, he joined the United States Navy in January of 1951, and served as a medic on the front lines in Korea and proudly served our Country until October of 1954. For several years he worked in Maintenance for the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas. In 1969, he moved his family back to the Bethpage Community where he was a farmer in McDonald County, enjoying gardening and his cows. He cherished time spent with his family and friends. Bobbie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Pineville, Missouri.

Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Edith and Geraldine; a daughter, Tammy Lou Cox; siblings, Ruth Hughes, Bill Cox and Howard Cox.








He is survived by his children, Fred Cox and wife, Julie of Joplin, Missouri, Brett Cox and wife, Beth, of Burlington, Iowa and Gloria Boyer of Camden Point, Missouri; brother, Cecil Cox and wife, Shirley of Joplin, Missouri, Shirley Kerr of Stella, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Travis, Monica, Graham, Garrett, Nathan, Clarissa, Ashley, Allison, and Jacob and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Pineville Baptist Church, in Pineville, Missouri. Pastor Leo Lenz will officiate. Those honoring her life will be serving as pallbearers: Travis Boyer, Graham Cox, Garret Cox, Nathan Lionberger, Michael Kerr, and Kelly Wolff, with William Moore and Harley Tillman serving as honorary pallbearers. Burial will follow the funeral service at Union Cemetery, in Stella, Missouri with full military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to the Pineville Baptist Church of Pineville, Missouri, c/o the funeral home.
