Charles Chrisman

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Mr. Charles Henry Chrisman, 90, of Noel, Missouri departed this life on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Medicalodge in Neosho, Missouri after a recent decline in health.

Charles entered this life on October 13, 1931 in Noel, Missouri, son of the late Charles Edward Chrisman and Anna (Stiles) Chrisman. He was a lifelong area resident including Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a 1949 graduate of Noel High School and furthered his education by attending Crowder College and later work-related schools.

On February 9, 1952 he was united in marriage to his childhood friend Barbara York and to this union two children were born, Danny and Lori.

Charles was an electrical engineer throughout his life as well as an entrepreneur, inventor and Gospel Minister. His work history included Rocketdyne, North American Airlines (where he designed jet engines) and Emerson Electric before establishing Prime Enterprises with his wife building custom homes and commercial buildings creating neighborhoods including Country Club Estates and Deer Park, later incorporating Prime with his daughter and son-in law into a manufacturing plant for exercise equipment, custom packaging and machine parts.

Charles had a big heart for the area youth. For a time he and Barbara owned and operated a youth center on Main Street in Noel and taught many others in Sunday School throughout the years.

His surviving generations will fondly remember him for his stories of the old home place he grew up on, especially those involving his beloved dog Pepper who lost his life from the copperhead he killed while protecting him as a child.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Beauford officiating. Private burial will take place at Noel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com
