Eddie Holseth

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Edward {Eddie, Eddie Bear} Arlin Holseth of Duquesne, Mo left this earth unexpectedly on the evening of September 6th, 2022.

The most giving, genuine, loving soul graced this earth with his precious presence on July 26th 1975 in Springfield, Mo. Eddie was born to the late Charlie Holseth and Sue (Dewalt) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his sister Holle Renee Suskey.

Eddie was a devoted, loving husband, father, son and loyal friend. He was equally as dedicated to his work. He began working for Eagle Picher when he was 18 years of age. His dedication to them would span some 23 years. After a paper shuffle he continued his work for Eagle Pitcher through O6 Environmental as an Environmental Specialist/Hazmat Specialist. His official title was never really clear, he wore many various hats.

His love for the outdoors was unrivaled, especially when it included his 2 sons, Gavin Williamson and Brier Holseth, fishing and hunting together was much like breathing to him. His loyalty, devotion and love for his family was beyond reproach. I have been told by a close friend of Eddie’s that their last conversations had while sitting together in the woods contained a statement from him, to surmise it was important to Eddie to ensure that while he ventured the outdoor experience it was with his favorite partners in crime, his two sons, he knew he left the biggest piece of His heart waiting and where it still remains today, it was important to Eddie to always come home every evening to it.

Eddie loved all music. He loved sharing his passion for music with his 2 boys, countless evenings were spent as a family listening to good music around the dinner table. This is something the 2 boys will carry with them forever. A love of their father, carried to the next generation.

Eddie is known by a vast amount of people for his kindness, love and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Always willing to drive the extra miles even when all is in peril. He was capable of MacGyvering absolutely anything. If you needed it fixed Eddie was your guy. If he didn’t know how he would watch videos until he did and then make the task look as though he always knew how. He never expected anything in return only that it be paid forward or love the next man or woman equally. He loved big and with every fiber of his being, he gave to all just as equal.

Eddie had a fleet of “extra” children as he lovingly referred to them. All were welcome at the dinner table, there was Always room for one more kid. Always enough dinner for one more plate. Always time to listen.

I would be remissed as his devoted wife and best friend for 20+ years if I did not say in conclusion that Eddie loves you all.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 22 years Andrea Ward-Holseth of Duquesne, Mo.
His 2 son’s, Gavin Ward-Williamson and Brier Ward-Holseth, also both of Duquesne, Mo.

To my love, we will be together soon, until then, take care of others in heaven as you did on earth.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation following the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
