Jeremy Olmstead

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Jeremy Joe Olmstead, beloved father, cherished son, goofy brother, died in an auto accident Wednesday night September 7, 2022, at 7:34 pm at the hands of a drunk driver. Jeremy would have been 40 on November 2

Jeremy is survived by his children, Paige (Brandon Welch) Olmstead, Ravyn Basina, Joseph Olmstead, Keegan Olmstead- Dunham, and Gabriel Dunham-Olmstead; his unborn Granddaughter Melody Olmstead-Welch (Melody is due September 20, 2022. She would have been Jeremy’s first grandchild); parents David Lynn Olmstead and Christine Kay Statler-Olmstead-Braack, his twin sisters, Jessica Jo Olmstead, and Debbie Jean Olmstead-Eidson, His ½ brother David L Tubbs, and ½ Sisters, Kelley L (James) Wheat, & Jennifer D (Jamie) Garrett.

Jeremy struggled greatly in life. For those who knew him well, we were blessed to see the softer, more tender and giving side of him and knew he loved to make people smile and laugh.

Jeremy loved all things nature, hiking the ridges of Missouri, walking in the woods, or sitting along the water casting a line, fishing for whatever would bite. He would relocate snakes or spiders rather than kill them.

He was extremely artistic with a passion for tattooing and woodworking. Jeremy had a generous heart. Jeremy would give up his only shirt, and/or pair of shoes rather than see the homeless guy down the road go shirtless or barefoot, no matter how destitute he himself may be at that moment. Jeremy was goofy, and so entertaining to be around.

Two of Jeremy’s core beliefs, were, “Families are Forever" something he learned as a child attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and “Every Saint Has a Past & Every Sinner has a Future”, a quote by Oscar Wilde. Both of which he had tattoos of.

We are all astounded and extremely saddened by Jeremy’s sudden death, and we are significantly unprepared for the high cost of his end-of-life expenses. We want to give Jeremy the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Jeremy’s final expenses. We need to raise $5000 to take care of Jeremy’s end of life expenses (Cremation cost, death certificates, and supporting documents; as well as the trip from Florida to Missouri to claim his remains, and collect his belongings)

Donations can be made using Zelle, or cash app. See links for these below. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Have a God blessed and wonderful day.

Paige, Christine, Dave, Debbie & Jessica
