Roy Burleson

Roy Roscoe Burleson of Wyandotte, OK passed from this life Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his home. He was 87.

Roy was born January 4, 1935 in Fayetteville, AR to Charley Roscoe and Delphia (Ralston) Burleson. He had lived in Wyandotte since 1974, moving from Hood River, OR.

Roy worked as and logger and timber feller in Oregon over 20 years. He was a carpenter, dairy farmer and co-owner of Triple B Farms in Wyandotte. He was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Miami where he taught Sunday School and Children's Church.








He was preceded in death by a daughter, Londa Mooney, his mother, Delphia Burleson, his father, Charley Burleson and his stepmother, Edith Burleson.

Roy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Alean (Frazier) Burleson of the home, 2 sons, Richard "Richie" Burleson and his wife Bev of Neosho, MO and Brent Burleson of Wyandotte, OK, 2 daughters, Pam Shoaf and her husband Mike of Joplin, MO and Debbie Darrah and her husband Steve of Wyandotte, OK, son-in-law, Gary Mooney of Wyandotte, OK, 2 brothers, Eddie Burleson and his wife Donna of Wyandotte, OK and Charles Burleson and his wife Sudy of Wyandotte, OK, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. Roy also had 6 bonus children, Mary Frazier Jackson of Edmond, OK, Linda Wingerd Sharkey of Spokane, WA, Mike Childs of Vale, OR, Sherry Snelson, Oscar Burleson and Deborah Wingerd.








Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at First Assembly of God in Miami, OK with Rev. Gary Rhoades and Rev. Andy Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Council House Cemetery, southeast of Wyandotte, OK with Cody Gwartney, Cory Clark, Spencer Mooney, Cameron Mooney, Lane Shelton, Hunter Grubb and Justin Ely serving as pallbearers.
