Rosemary Denton

Rosemary Denton, 75, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away at 12:05 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her residence after a short illness.

Rosemary was born on April 27, 1949, in Columbus, Kansas. She had resided in Oklahoma since 1977, moving from Joplin, Missouri. She was a retail clerk for the former Katz and Ben Franklin stores and Skaggs stores in Joplin and Tulsa, Oklahoma before retiring in 1985.








She was of the Catholic faith. She belonged to the Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed gardening, loved to shop and crafting.

She married Doug Denton on June 23, 1973, in Joplin, Missouri and he survives.

Other survivors include one brother: Bob Babst of Joplin, Missouri; a Cousin Nora Harper and several nieces and nephews.








She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Mary Saporito Babst and one sister; Betty Jo Long.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory in Joplin, Missouri.
