Kenneth Seibert

Kenneth L. Seibert, Jr., age 84, Webb City, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital.

Kenneth was born March 27, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Kenneth L. Seibert, Sr. and Wilma M. Staley Seibert.

Kenneth worked with Emerson Electric as a materials manager in Independence, Kansas for several years.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Korean Conflict and attained the rank of Sergeant. Kenneth was a member of APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) and the Marine Corps Association.

In his spare time, Kenneth enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching football and NASCAR on television. He had a love for reading, both novels and newspapers.

He married Marilyn K. Hute on September 28, 1962 in Maquoketa, Iowa. She survives at the home.

Additional survivors include two sons, Michael Seibert and wife, Kristi, Joplin, Kenneth Seibert and wife, Donna, New Braunfels, Texas; three grandchildren, Jonmichael Seibert, Michael Seibert, Nichole Odom; and three great grandchildren, Emily Seibert, Alexis Seibert and Gavin Odom.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Seibert; and a sister, Barbara Miller.

A private family committal is planned at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Pittsburg, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joplin Humane Society or to Patriot PAWS Service Dogs, both in care of Parker Mortuary.

A special thanks to doctors Bettasso and Zaidi for years of service and friendship and to the staff at Freeman West Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion they showed to Kenneth.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
