Eunice Piepenbrink

Eunice Louise (Frederking) Piepenbrink, of Lockwood, MO, passed away on January 4, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 97.

She was born on November 26, 1924 in Harlan, IL, to Louis August Frederking and Bertha (Kayhs) Frederking.

Eunice was baptized on December 14, 1924 and confirmed on March 21, 1937 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL. Her confirmation verse was Luke 10:42.








Eunice was married on April 8, 1945 to Arvel Harold Piepenbrink in Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL by Rev. Rohlhoff.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Sue Diefenderfer and husband Mackie of Republic, MO; one grandson, Randy Diefenderfer and wife Tara of Rogersville, MO; and two great-grandchldren, Carter and Zoe Diefenderfer of Rogersville, MO. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Piepenbrink; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Louis and Bertha Frederking; her husband, Arvel Piepenbrink; and two sisters, Esther Kleiboeker and Selma Kleiboeker.

Eunice was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She enjoyed quilting and made numerous quilts. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Eunice was a member of the Dorcas Quilting Circle, and she started the Alter Guild at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Meinert. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorcas Quilting Circle. Services are under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
