Bill Burton

William Bennett 'Bill' Burton, age 39, Joplin, passed away at 4:02 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015.

Bill was born December 18, 1975 in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late William Burton and Deborah Cummins Burton and had lived in Joplin most of his life.

He worked as a shop foreman at American Ramp Company since 2006. Bill enjoyed playing pool and was a member of a pool league. He played semi-pro football for the Fusion and even participated in cage fighting. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed being around his family.

He is survived by his wife, April; four children, Morgan, Logan, Emily and Ashley; one brother, Rusty Burton and his fiance, Milissa Burns; eight grandchildren, Tabon Schlup, Zaron Schlup, Elizah Zebrowski, Raiden Lamarr, Acelynn Lamarr, Brooklynn Lamarr, Arabelle Carlos; grandmother, Joyce McGuirk; stepfather, Ronnie Lee Cummins; and nieces and nephews, Chelsea Maness, Brianna Maness, Tsuia Tate and fiance, Zach Schlup, Tana Zebrowski and husband, Mitch, James Tate II, C.J. Tate, and Jessie Lamarr and husband, Daniel.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Crystal Maness; grandfather, Jack McGuirk; and a grandchild, Skyular Logsdon.

Memorial services are planned for Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God. The family will receive friends following the services at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
