Billie June Moore, 84, Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Smithfield, Missouri, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ Thursday, June 25, 2015.
Billie June was born October 13, 1930 to William and Opha Moore. She was a 1941 graduate of Carl Junction Schools and worked for ten years at Elders Manufacturing in Cal Junction. Billie June attended Smithfield and Fir Road Christian Churches. Her church family was a cherished part of her life all of her life. For the past 6 years, Billie June had been a resident of Spring River Christian Village. There she found many, many loving friendships among the staff and residents.
Billie June is survived by many cousins and friends including LaVada Stephens, David Stephens and family of Vilonia, Arkansas; Beth Stephens and family of Carl Junction; Marilyn Mongan of Independence, MO.; Bonnie Betz and family of Joplin; Sheri and Jimmy Ross of Carl Junction; and a host of other family and friends who will miss her greatly.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Fir Road Christian Church. The family will have visitation on Monday, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Fir Road Christian Church.
