Mary Lou Allgood, age 87, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital, following an illness.
Mary was born on May 9, 1928 the daughter of the late Bill and Mable Stephenson. She has been a lifetime area resident. Mary worked as a bookkeeper for C.E. Reynolds Transportation, Mizzou Aviation, and Miner’s Ice.
She married Virgil Allgood in January of 1959 in Joplin. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2011. She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Stephenson.
Mary is survived by one son, Mike Allgood and wife Michelle and daughter Ashley , Webb City, Mo.; one daughter Pam Lickteig and husband Mark and daughter Carrina of Joplin; one step-daughter, Pam Campbell of Joplin and family.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Stone Cemetery. Pastor J.W. Stephenson will officiate. Friends may call during the mortuary’s regular viewing hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
