Ronnie Allison

Ronnie Lee Allison, age 67, Joplin, passed away at 4:57 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home after a long illness.

Ronnie was born February 14, 1948 in Altamont, Kansas to the late Glenn Allison and Marie Sammetinger Allison.

He worked 32 years at John Deere in Coffeyville, retiring as project manager. He also worked ten years at Muller Construction, Coffeyville and five years at the Rental Store of Joplin.

Ronnie was a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge #102, AF & AM; Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Valley of Ft. Scott, Kansas; and the Mirza Shrine Temple, Pittsburg, Kansas. He was past vice president of Labette County High School Alumni Association, Altamont, Kansas and a member of the Second Thursday Stock Club, Coffeyville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coffeyville, where he served as Deacon and Moderator. Ronnie was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Webb City.

Ronnie lived for fishing and family. When he was not spending time on the lake, he was attending sporting events, cheering on his family.

He married Carol Ann Martin on January 12, 1970 in Coffeyville. She survives at the home.

Additional survivors include a son, Chad Allison and his wife, Jana, Carl Junction; a daughter, Kayanna Allison, Joplin; two grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Allison; and several extended family members, including a great great great nephew.

Services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Rev. Aaron Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, where Masonic rites will be performed. Pallbearers will be Jake Allison, Shawn Alloway, Jason Burns, Chris Branch, Art Hines and Mark Muller. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Sly, Fred Muller, Bill Owens, Josh Allison, Terry Landers, Tom Newton, Larry Newton, Bucky Pickering, Jim Huffman and Brian Lewis. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronnie Allison Class of 66 Foundation, in care of Parker Mortuary.
