Brian Wertmer, age 51, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.
Brian was born March 21, 1969 in St. Paul, Minnesota, son of the late Morris Berry, and Marilyn Rodman Crist. He moved to Joplin in the early 2000's, and worked as a mechanic for years.
He loved working with Traxxas gas powered hobby cars, and working on collector cars. He enjoyed treasure hunting with metal detectors, and was an avid gun collector.
Brian is survived by his mother, Marilyn Crist; sister, Morissa Anne Wermter; sons, Brian and Matthew; his companion of 15 years, Christina Mitzner; and his beloved feline friend, Sneakers.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
