Joyce Elaine Cypret, Rocky Comfort, MO, daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Cowan) Carlson, was born on December 24, 1937 in Rockford, IL and departed this life on June 4, 2020, at the age of 82.
Joyce was an RN, who worked at hospitals and nursing homes before retiring. She had lived in Rocky Comfort for the past twenty seven years coming from Phoenix, AZ. Joyce was a member of the Ridgley Assembly of God, Ridgley, MO and was the Leader of the Women’s Ministries, Sunday School Teacher, active with the nursing group alumni and volunteered at the food pantry in Cassville, MO.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry Carlson and Jim Carlson; two sisters, Janice Gustafson and Janet Quick; daughter in law, Kim Cypret; grandson, Steven Cypret and great granddaughter, Rachel Cypret.
Survivors include: her husband, Jack Cypret of Rocky Comfort, MO; five sons, Jeff Cypret of Crane, MO, Steven Cypret and wife, Teresa of Crane, MO, Brian Cypret and wife, Karen of Washburn, MO, Jack Cypret and wife, Angie of Aurora, MO and Brent Cypret and wife, Tonya of Rocky Comfort, MO; one daughter, Marcia Cypret of Rocky Comfort, MO; two brothers, Donald Carlson and wife, Diane of Florida and Wesley Carlson and wife, Ginny of Rockford, IL; one sister, Donna Gustafson of Glendale, AZ; twenty six grandchildren; sixty one great grandchildren, and two more expected soon; five great, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2020 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Matthew Young officiating. Burial will be in Short Cemetery, Hurley, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
