Penny Schmoranz

Penny Lynn (Yost) Schmoranz, of Springfield, MO, departed this world on September 5, 2022 at the age of 59.

She was born on December 1, 1962 in Lamar, MO to Harold and Edith May Yost. 

Penny married her true love David Schmoranz on June 25, 1982 in Lamar, MO. She was employed with O’Sullivan Industries until it closed in 2007. Penny then was employed by Mercy until she retired. She earned her Associates Degree in Business Management from O.T.C. in Springfield, MO in 2010.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Harold and Edith May Yost; her daughter, Crystal May; two sisters, Gladys and Yalonda; one brother-in-law, Greg Lowe; and one nephew, Abraham Jeffries.

Survivors include her husband, David Schmoranz; her son, Nathaniel Schmoranz and wife Lindsi; three grandchildren, Kencade, Jazmine, and MaKenna; two sisters, Rhonda Smith and husband Jeff of Lockwood, MO and Becky Jeffries and husband Dan of Lockwood, MO; one brother, Vernie Yost of Lamar, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
