(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Elizabeth “Lisa” Combs, age 56, of Webb City, passed away at 6:14 pm, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO following an illness. Lisa had lived in Webb City the past few months, but had been a resident of the Galena KS area since her early 20’s.
Lisa was born September 2, 1966, in Grand Rapids MI. Her parents were Prudencio Perez Sr. and Maria Elena (Estrada) Perez of Romulus, MI. They survive.
While in high school, she was a member of the ROTC. She was of the Catholic faith. Lisa enjoyed sewing, cooking, and writing in her journal. To her grandchildren she was affectionately called MoeMoe.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, D. J. Combs, Galena; two daughters, Crystal Girard (Samuel Allen), Webb City, and Cecilia Ballard (Chris) of Galena; 3 brothers, Jose G Delacruz, Sacramento, CA, Prudencio Perez Jr, (Kim), Allen Park, MI, and Domingo Perez, Romulus, MI; several half brothers and sisters, including Angel Hyle (Bobby) Salisbury, MD, Jennifer Delacruz, Lansing, MI, and Shaun Delacruz (Carleana), Lansing, MI; 12 grandchildren, Daryn Combs, Riot Benjamin, Carson Ballard, Antonio (Pepe) Combs, Heavenly Morris, Alivia Morris, Brycen Morris, Alexis Dunham, Darius Dunham, Kenian Evans, Alena Evans, and Maddison Gordon; 11 step-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Gordon, half brother Roberto DeLa Cruz, biological father Francisco DeLa Cruz, and her two youngest children’s father, Doug Combs.
Lisa was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family will plan to celebrate her life at a later date.
