(From Ferry Funeral Home)Tandy Arthur Pike, age 82, of Sheldon, Mo., died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 18, 1940, in rural Nevada, Mo., to Lester DeWitt and Jeanette (Leen) Pike.
On June 15, 1963, he married Evelyn Sue Swan at the Nevada Christian Church, and together they raised five children.
He worked many years for the Nevada Roofing Company and basically grew up on the roof. He had also worked at a saddle shop, and at O’Sullivan Industries in Lamar, Mo., and was a cattle farmer from 1975 until 2000.
He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, doing leatherwork, loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Tandy is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his children, Janeta Rippetoe and her husband Joe, Nevada, Mo., Tammy Pugh and her husband Travis, Nevada, Mo., Tandy Pike and his wife Carmen, Nevada, Mo., Rebecca Lutz, Clarence, Mo., and Amanda Britz, Nevada, Mo.; grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Heather, Peter, T.J, Austin, Mackenzie, Olivia, Aaron, Trinity, Alexis, Aiden and Ricky; great-grandchildren, Madison, Shane, Lucas, Mia, Taiten, Tucker, Tabytha, Jace, Nicolas, and Xavier; sisters, Grace Colvin, Nevada, Mo., and Jule Williams, and her husband Howard, Bronaugh, Mo.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a grandson, Shane; three brothers, Lester Pike, Joe Pike, and Tony Pike; two sisters, Jean Gicante and Alice Ramage.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 20, at Ferry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Tolson Cemetery with Jeff Adams officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to help with funeral expenses, with the funeral home serving as custodian.
