(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Wilma May “Jackie” Medlin, age 87, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 6:38 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Aurora Nursing Center. She was born March 13, 1936, in Christian County, Missouri, the daughter of Alzie and Edith (Fugitt) Maples.
Wilma worked for Tysons in Monett, Missouri for over 30 years and at Brown’s Egg Plant in Marionville, Missouri.
Her husband, Omar Medlin, preceded her in death on December 11, 1992.
Wilma is survived by her two sons, Danny Medlin of Purdy, Missouri, and John Medlin, of Aurora, Missouri; six grandchildren, Missie (Jason) of Aurora, Missouri, Dusty (Steve) of Joplin, Missouri, Jackie (Bobby) of Purdy, Missouri, Erica of Kansas, Douglas of Stotts City, Missouri and Daniel (Lindsey) of Stotts City, Missouri and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and so many more who affectionately referred to her as Grandma Jackie.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Alzie and Edith Maples; her beloved husband, Omar Medlin; her son, Glen Maples; her great-grandson, Bruce Berg; brother, Leroy Maples and sister, Barb Debois.
A graveside service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
