Fredrick William "Bill" Richey, Jr. of Grove, OK passed from this life Friday, July 21, 2023 at his home. He was 95.

Bill was born December 7, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Fredrick William and Grace (Sweeten) Richey, Sr. He moved to Grove in 2018. He had previously lived in Miami, OK, Joplin, MO, Cardin, OK and Muskogee, OK. He graduated from Joplin High School in 1945. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the United States Marine Corps during Korea.

Bill was a barber in Commerce, OK and Muskogee, OK and was a minister, serving at Cardin Christian Church in Cardin, OK.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Richey, a grandchild, Cristin Brimm, his parents, Fredrick William and Grace Richey and 2 brothers, Bob Richey and Chuck Richey.

Bill is survived by 1 son, William Brent Richey of Joplin, MO and 1 daughter, Jan Brimm and her husband Jerry of Oronogo, MO.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK with Pastor Leon Weece officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Cemetery in Joplin, MO with Dave Hicks, Ron Peterson, Danny Garner, Bob Asbell, John Dickson and Chris Parker serving as pallbearers. 

 The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to services at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK.
