(From Ferry Funeral Home)Michael Anthony Novak, age 60 of Nevada, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mike was born on October 19, 1962, in Gardner, KS. He was the son of James A. and Shirley A. (Fulton) Novak.
Mike was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1980. He served in the United States Army following High School. Mike became an ordained minister and has served as an associate pastor for Christ’s Church Fellowship.
Survivors include four sisters, Pam Sandoval of Nevada, Catherine Erwin of Warsaw, MO, Diana Wessley of Carl Junction, and Linda Gower of Overland Park, KS, two brothers, John Davis (Wendy) of Franklin, GA and Jim Novak (Jane), Nevada, MO, and two stepsons, Graham and Garrett. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Shirley Novak.
A celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Christ’s Church Fellowship located at 621 S. Pine in Nevada with Pastor Robert Fox officiating.
