Robert and Trisha Colley

Robert James Colley, age 50, of La Russell, Missouri, passed away with his loving wife, Trisha Anne (Buss) Colley, age 49, at their home on Monday, July 10, 2023.

Robert was born December 27, 1972, in Carthage, Missouri, the son of Franklin Mason and Raymah Louise (Endicott) Colley.

Trisha was born May 23, 1974, in Concord, California, the daughter of Everett Robert and Patricia Mae (Faulkner) Buss.

Trisha and Robert were married on May 9, 1992, in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Robert worked as a cattle hauler and Trisha was a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Rob and Trish were loving soulmates, parents, and grandparents. Together they had three children, Seth, Ashley, and Emily and two beautiful grandbabies, Rilyn, and Mason.

Rob and Trish were inseparable. They love to spend every day together on their farm and with their children and grandchildren. They were exceptionally proud of their grandbabies and if you had the pleasure of knowing them, you would have heard all about them.

They loved to cruise the Caribbean and snorkel for sea turtles. They loved sitting on their patio with friends and family. They loved for the sake of loving, with no desire or needs and with no boundaries and separations. As we mourn, let us remember the love they shared. We hope that everyone can experience that kind of love.

Trisha and Robert are survived by their three children, Seth Colley, Ashley Jack and her husband, Derek and Emily Colley and Cory Rogers, all of La Russell, Missouri; two grandchildren, Rilyn Colley and Mason Rogers; Robert’s two sisters, Kelly (Bill) Hinshaw and Kristy (Chad) Calvin, all of La Russell, Missouri; his three brothers, Rick (Karen) Colley of Stotts City, Missouri, Ray (Margaret) Colley and Randy (Christie) Colley all of La Russell, Missouri; Tisha’s mother, Patricia Buss of Springfield, Missouri; her siblings, Irene, Bonnie, Becky, Bobby, Gene, Keith, Walt, Mark and Josh and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mason and Raymah Colley.

Trisha was preceded in death by her father, Everett Buss; one brother, Scott Justus and one sister, Donna Brant.

A celebration of Robert’s and Trisha’s life will be held from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
