(From Parker Mortuary)Stephen Lee Allen, Jr., age 50, Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 27, 2023 in Joplin. Stephen was born May 22, 1973 at St. John’s Hospital in Joplin to his parents, Stephen L. Allen, Sr. and Victoria D. (Lansaw) Allen of Joplin.
Stephen graduated from Joplin High School with the class of 1992. He worked in sales for most of his career with companies like Sutherland Lumber, CLEAN and Budweiser, prior to retiring early due to his health. Stephen was an avid KC Chiefs fan.
On June 6, 2009, Stephen married Jodi Fidler at Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin, she survives of the home in Joplin. Additional survivors include sons, Dakota and Cameron Allen; daughters, Emily Allen (Jake) of Webb City and Jeanetta Fidler (Jackson) of Joplin; grandkids, Leo and Kash; parents, Steve and Darlene; sisters, Stephanie Allen of Joplin, Sharon Bartley (Chad) of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; grandmother, Mildred Childres of Joplin; mother-in-law, Sandra Fidler of Joplin; brother-in-law, Chris Fidler (Tanna) of Joplin; as well as numerous extended family and friends left to mourn the loss of Stephen.
Stephen is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Johnny and Opal Lansaw; paternal grandfathers, Loyd Allen and Chuck Childres; Aunt Nancy, Uncle Jake and his father-in-law, Tommy Fidler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at One Church in Joplin, Missouri with Pastor Shane Munn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made toward family expenses in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
