(From Parker Mortuary) Sherry Ann Williams, age 66 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at Freeman Hospital in Joplin on Sunday, July 16, 2023 following an extended illness.
Sherry was born on August 29, 1956 in Lyons, Kansas to the late Leonard Dickey and Pauline Enlow Dickey. It was just a few years later that her family moved to Missouri where Sherry has resided for most of her life.
Sherry was a homemaker, taking great care of her family. She enjoyed being outdoors when possible with her kids, hanging out at the creek or enjoying a great bbq where the ribs had to be pre-boiled before being put on the grill. Sherry was known to put the pedal to the metal when she was driving to get to the destination as fast as possible.
Family left to mourn the loss include sons, Michael Williams and wife, Genni of Carthage, James Williams of Webb City; stepdaughter, Trinity Williams and husband, Kevin of Claremore, Oklahoma; sisters, Terry Crow (Sherry’s twin) and husband, Bob of Odessa, Missouri and Nita Welch of Carthage; one grandson, Zachary Pope. There will be many extended family and friends that will all hold a special place for Sherry in their heart.
