Donna Moody

Donna Lucille Moody, age 77, Rocky Comfort, MO, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Mercy of Joplin.

Donna was born September 13, 1945 in Joplin, daughter of the late Gordan Rickard and Blanche (Cox) Rickard. She grew up in the Seneca area and attended school at Westview School. She was the mother of two children and was a stay at home wife and mother. She was also a member of the Faith Assembly of God in Joplin. Donna was a loving mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband Ray Moody, Sr. a sister, Linda Cassidy, and a great-grandchild, Gabriella.

Survivors include her son, Robert Sanders of Granby, MO and a daughter, Sharon Hatfield and husband Tim of Rocky Comfort, MO; grandchildren, Joe Hatfield and wife Caroline, Chelsey Mittag and husband Josh Maina; great-grandchildren, Dillon Hatfield, Madeline Paige Hatfield, Aliyah Mittag , Brienne Mwangi, Zacharee Mwangi, and Gabriel Mwangi; a brother, Elvin Rickard of Mexico, MO; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Monday, July 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Stone Cemetery with family officiating and serving as pallbearers.
