Edna Niemeyer

Edna L. McKeehan Niemeyer, 91, passed away Monday July 10th, 2023.

Edna was born October 31st, 1931, in Atchison KS.

She married Robert G. McKeehan, On September 16th 1950, Together they had five children. They were happily married for 38 years until his passing. 

Edna went on to marry Leonard F. Niemeyer on February 24th, 1989.

They were married for 30 years until His passing. 

Edna was a dedicated worker throughout her life. During her career at St. John's Hospital, she was awarded several certificates for her loyalty and dedication to attendance. Edna also had a deep love for animals, she raised and nursed several types of animals during her life. She was also a trophy winning barrel racer.

Edna is preceded in death by her Parents Lloyd and Augesta, Two Husbands Robert and Leonard and Two Siblings Dorothy and Richard as well as her Son-in law Tom Walkinshaw. She is survived by her 5 Children Lois Sanchez & husband Mike, Lola Walkinshaw, Bobby McKeehan & wife Melanie, Peggy Bates & husband Charlie, Vicki Kresyman & husband Rick, as well as her 9 Grandsons, 3 Granddaughters, 29 Great-Grandchildren and 21 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

This abundant family of 67 that Edna created, loved her dearly and will miss her greatly. May she rest peacefully.

The family will hold visitation services Monday, July 17th, 2023 from 6pm to 7pm at Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin, MO and the Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2023 officiated by Pastor Josh Patrick beginning at 1pm at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
