Devonda Davis

Devonda Devendra Davis Sr., age 30, of Joplin, Missouri was born on September 20, 1992 in Richmond, Indiana to Therodore Davis and Jannie Armstead-Stewart. 

 He attended Hillcrest High School until his 10th grade year. He was previously employed with Food for Less for five years and then at Walmart Distribution. Devonda transitioned from this life to his Heavenly Home on July 22, 2023.








Devonda was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. Recently, he gave his life over to the Lord before his passing and was a member of the New Testament Holiness Church in Neosho. He also loved sports, fishing, and loved singing for the Lord. He loved his children and family.

Devonda was proceded in death by his big brother, Darrnel Armstead Sr.; grandparents, Louise Patterson, Ellis Armstead Jr., Alice Armstead, Stanley Davis, Johnnie Lacey; six uncles, Vodell Patterson, Ellis Armstead III, Morris Armstead, Sr., Charles Davis, and Renaldo Davis; four aunts, Linda Kirtz, Lavern Wilkerson, Tony Houston, and Evon Gibbs; and three cousins, Tianna Burden-Johnson, Marshean Davis, and Carlotta Wilkerson.

He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his legacy, his three children, Quandre Davis, Davionta Davis, and Devonda Davis Jr., all of Springfield; his mother, Jannie Armstead-Stewart, and her husband, Robert, of Joplin; his father, Therodore Davis Sr. and wife Linda of Baltimore, MD, three sisters, Lakisha Armstead-Madison of Waynesville, MO, India Hardy of Joplin, and Kimberly Colbert of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, Jedacia Davis, Teddy Davis, Jr. both of Springfield, MO, and Marcus Colbert of Baltimore, MD; thirteen nieces, nephews and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.






 

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at New Testament Holiness Church, 7748 Greenbrier Dr. in Neosho, MO with Pastor John Fuller officiating. Burial to follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. 

 The family will receive friends at the Church from Noon until service time on Monday. Funeral repass for family and friends will follow burial services and be held at the Neosho Lampo Center at 500 E. Spring Street, Neosho, MO 64850.
