Pam Hosp

Pamela Sue Hosp, age 67 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Pam was born January 27, 1957 in Joplin to the late George Hosp, Sr and Betty (Pryor) Hosp.

Pam attended Joplin schools, graduating from Parkwood High School with the class of ‘75. Following graduation, Pam attended Missouri Southern where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business. 







For more than 27 years, Pam worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for St. John’s Hospital in Joplin. After her time at St. John’s, Pam went to work for Missouri Southern State University where she held many different positions, with the longest position working as the office manager in the Health Department. Pam was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Joplin.

On June 27, 1987, Pam married Richard Stauffer in Joplin. Richard preceded her in death on August 7, 2024.

Those left to mourn Pam’s life include her son, David Stauffer (Alex) of Joplin; daughter, Elizabeth Isenberger (Tucker) of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Natalie, Taylor, Archer and Lux; brother, Bill Hosp (Melinda) of Carl Junction; several extended family and close friends.








Pam is also preceded in death by a brother, George Hosp, Jr.

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Joplin. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the MSSU Athletics Department, in care of the mortuary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
