(From Simpson Funeral Home)Charmaine Joy Moss Newby, 96, passed away September 19, 2026 after a long battle with dementia. She was born November 20, 1929 to Charles and Frances Moss, the youngest of their 13 children.
She married Robert Eugene Newby May 17, 1947 the same day they graduated from Webb City High School. Robert and Charmaine were blessed with 5 children and 58 years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, husband Robert Newby, who passed away in 2005.; children Eugenia Joy Newby, Robert Allen Newby and Joseph Gail Newby.
She is survived by her daughter, Francis McAferty; son Roger Newby and his wife Twila Newby; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri.
Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Webb City.
