Geneva Cousins

(From Parker Mortuary)

Geneva Ann Cousins passed away on September 15, 2026, in Seneca, Missouri, at the age of 77.

Geneva was born on December 8, 1948, in Carthage, Missouri, to the late Clearence and Mary (Spore) West. Geneva attended local schools and graduated from Diamond High School in 1965, marking an important milestone in her early years and beginning the next chapter of her life.

Throughout her life, Geneva was known for her steady presence and caring nature. She spent over 22 years driving for Oats Medical Transportation, where she served others faithfully and became a familiar and trusted face to many. Her work reflected her dependable spirit and her willingness to help those in need. She took pride in her responsibilities and carried out her duties with patience, compassion, and dedication.

Geneva found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She enjoyed gardening and took great pleasure in watching her flowers and plants grow. In her youth, she loved riding horses, an interest that brought her happiness and a sense of freedom. She also dearly loved caring for her dogs, who were a constant source of companionship and comfort. In quieter moments, she enjoyed watching old television shows, finding familiarity and enjoyment in the stories and characters she remembered fondly.

Family was an important part of Geneva's life. She is survived by her son, Doug Haner of Carthage, Missouri; her sister, Kathy West; and her grandson, Quintin Swarens of Carthage, Missouri. She cherished her family and the connections she shared with them. She will be remembered with love by those who knew her best and by all whose lives were touched by her presence.

Graveside funeral service will take place on Friday, September 18th at 10 a.m. at the Diamond Cemetery located in Diamond, MO
