Betty B. White, 88, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Freeman Hospital.
She was born on October 6, 1925 to Harrison and Anna May (Golden) Hensley in Oklahoma. Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church and a member of their Quilting group.
Betty married Gilbert C. White on March 20, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. He preceded her on April 30, 2007. Survivors include one son Eddy White of Joplin, four daughters Lindy Roberts and husband Phil, Sally Junkins and husband Steve both of Joplin, Gail White and LeAnn Colaw and husband Bill both of Carthage, one sister Selba Hill of Cartwright, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, one son Gilbert Christopher White III, six brothers, and three sisters.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at Fairview Christian Church. Burial will be at Dudman Springs Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Fairview Quilting Group care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
