Charley Walters, age 61, Carl Junction, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at his home after a sudden illness.
Charley was born June 30, 1952 in Westville, Oklahoma to Garland J. Walters and the late Virgie Lee Landsaw Walters.
Charles graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked 27 years for McDonough Toyota Volkswagen/Continental Imports as collision center manager. He had also worked at Claim Solution for 10 years and most recently for Fletcher Toyota.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, of the home; two sons, Travis and Gabe Walters, Joplin; two grandsons, Kody and Coleton Walters; two granddaughters, Bella and Maya Walters; his father and step mother, Garland and Joyce Walters, Anderson; brothers, Jim and Pete Walters; two step sisters, Angie and Lisa; one step brother, Mike; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Charley was a very good grandfather to his grandchildren.
He was a very faithful Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon at First Gospel Workers Church. He was full of good works.
Charley left this world to go to Heaven to live with God. His works go with him.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at First Gospel Workers Church. Rev. Phil Erwin will officiate. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Stella. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
