Todd William Humbard, age 42, of Carterville, Mo. passed away Wednesday, June 4,2014 following a brave 19 month battle with a gliobalstoma brain tumor.
Todd was born July 15, 1971 in Kansas City, Mo. to Mickey and Emily Humbard. He graduated from Monett High School in 1989 and Mo. Southern State Univ. in 1993 with a degree in political science.
Todd spent his life caring for others, especially his beloved grandmother, Eva, whom he cared for until her death. Todd was known for his kindness, generosity, and quick wit. He was also known for his extensive knowledge and love for all things Star Wars.
Todd was preceded in death by his Father, Mickey Humbard, and his beloved grandparents, William and Eva Carr. Survivors include his Mother, Emily Humbard of the home, two sisters, Tiffany Hoerning and husband Ken, Joplin, and Tina Burton, Winterville, N. Carolina, beloved nephews, Kellen and Kannon Hoerning, and nieces Cassie Maxwell, Brandee Bryant, and Ambyr Henniger.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Van Buren (Black Fox) Cemetery, east of Diamond, Mo. with Stan Parkison, Minister, Wayne Baker and Daniel Dillon, officiating. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the Hedge-Lewis Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City, Mo.
