Sue P. Miller, age 85, of Joplin, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Sue was born July 26, 1928 to the late Paul S. and Edna Asbill Parke in Lexington, Kentucky. Sue was a housewife, always taking great care of the home and her family. Sue was a past president with the Freeman Auxiliary, volunteering over 25 years.
On November 27, 1948, Sue married James G. Miller in Danville, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2013.
Survivors include one son, Rick Miller of Joplin; daughters, Pamela A. Rice of Lexington, Kentucky and Judy Spurgeon of Duenweg, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Paul Marshall of Richmond, Kentucky, Susan Durham of Richmond, Kentucky, Jenny Woodmansee of Webb City, Angie Miller of Webb City, Patty Holder of Seneca and Linda Praylow of Joplin; 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are planned for Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Parker Chapel. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin. Family will receive friends Monday, June 9, 2014 from 5-7:00PM at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Children Hospital of Lexington, Kentucky in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
