Peggy Jean Webb, age 72, of Joplin, Mo. passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy was born December 24, 1941 to the late Floyd and Ola G. Gourley Channel in Joplin. Peggy graduated from the Galena, KS High School and later from Crowder College and Missouri Southern State College where she received her degree in social services. She also served her country in the United States Army Reserves. Peggy worked as a Social Worker for the Arkansas Department of Family Services. In her free time, Peggy enjoyed quilting and running from garage sale to estate sale.
Peggy married John A. Webb on May 1, 1958 in Miami, OK. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include eight sons, John C. Webb of Palastine, TX, Brandon Webb of Joplin, Brian Webb of Palastine, TX, Aaron Webb and wife Anna of Palastine, TX, Billy Webb of Dallas TX, Johnathan Webb of Palastine, TX, Thomas W. Webb of Palastine, TX, Charles Colby Webb of Northville, Mass; two daughters, Kathy Webb of Springdale, AR, Terrie Hendrickson and husband Arin of Eureka Springs, AR; brothers, Billy Channel and wife Karen of Joplin, Bobby Channel and wife Cathy of Springfield, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren plus many extended family and friends.
Services are planned for Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Parker Chapel. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
