Gary Nagle, 72, of rural Stark City, MO, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2014, while at his home.
Gary was born on November 25, 1941, in Springfield, MO, son of the late John Francis and Elizabeth Adele (Neyer) Nagle. In 1959, Gary enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Cuban Crisis. He was honorably discharged in 1962. For over thirty-two years, Gary was a Delivery Driver for UPS. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO, serving the Lord in many capacities. He was also a board member at Jolly Mill and very much a conservationist and an outdoor enthusiast.
On August 24, 1990 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gary and Letha Snowden were united in marriage. Gary is survived by his wife, Letha, of the home; two sons, Gerald Patrick Nagle, Jr. (Toni Freeman) and John Patrick Nagle; one daughter, Kristy Nagle (Trevor Conrow) all of Stark City; five grandchildren, Abby Gorham, Christian Ross Nagle, Chassidy Freeman, Patrick Tyler Nagle and Emily Paige Nagle; one brother, Mike Nagle (Barbara) of Republic, MO; two sisters, Sharon Swift (Tom), of Pierce City and Mary Holden (Burrell), of Birch Tree, MO; three brothers-in-law, Red, Gerald and Harold Snowden; his best-friend, Richard Heim; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass was held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO. Father Peter J. Morciniec officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
