Elizabeth Ann Clark, 95, passed away August 17, 2017 at St. Luke’s Assisted Living in Carthage. Betty was born October 7, 1921 in Racine, Wisconsin to Sydney Coleman and Althea Huntoon. Betty resided in Carthage since 1988 and was a bookkeeper for 50 years. Prior to moving to Carthage, she worked at Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas. Betty volunteered at the Civil War Museum, was active in Ulmer Funeral Home’s Surviving Spouses and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carthage.
Betty was united in marriage to Lewis Robert Clark in March 1954 in Tucson, Arizona; he preceded her in death September 1983.
Betty is survived by one son Arthur Manning of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, one daughter Sydney Ann Clark of Carthage, and five grandchildren: Anthony “Tony” Clark, Trisha Danielle Clark, Samantha Ripper, Ryan Merritt and Michael Merritt. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by two sisters: Marian Reeder and Marjorie Rader.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
