Donald Gene Tripp, age 85 of Joplin, Mo., passed away August 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was born on May 26, 1932 in Jersey City, N.J., the son of William and Stella (Morningstar) Tripp. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War. Donald has been an area resident for many years after moving from Pennsylvania. He worked as a supervisor for Kraft Foods for 35 years before retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Romano). They would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on August 31st. Additional survivors include five children: Donna, wife of George McGrew; William, husband of Sonya; Donald husband of Tammy; Robert, husband of Lauri; Diane, wife of Anthony Vanim; seven grandchildren: Matthew, Allen, Jorden, Donald (Trey), Brooke, Andrew, and Alek; four great-grandchildren; brother Alan. Donald was predeceased by his parents and brother, William.
The family will hold private services at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
