Raymond G. Dunn, age 65, of Carterville, Mo. has gone fishin’ at the big lake in the sky at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida, after suffering an apparent heart attack while on vacation. Raymond was born September 29, 1951 in Joplin, Mo. and had lived in Carterville for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Carl Junction High School. Raymond worked for over 35 years with the former Safeway Bakery in Joplin, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Bakers and Confectionary Workers Union, Local 218 in Kansas City, Mo.
Raymond married Debra Curry April 8, 1984 in Carthage, Mo. and she survives. Additional survivors include two sons, Randall Dunn and wife Cindy, Webb City, and Rodney Dunn and girlfriend Billie Collins, Carterville, three daughters, Mandy Haley and husband Steve, Skiatook, Ok., Sheena Lutz and husband A.J., and Misty Stewart and husband Billy, all of Webb City, his mother, Nadine Bennett and husband Amos, Joplin, one brother, Arthur Dunn, Webb City, one sister, Linda Tilton and husband Donnie, Oronogo, Mo., twenty grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Arthur V. Dunn, a brother, Fred Dunn, and a step-father, Winfred A. Burkhart.
The family will have a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Route 66 Event Center at 21 S. Webb Street, Webb City, Mo. 64870.
