Mrs. Mary “Coleen” Hughes, 77, of Livingston, Texas departed this life on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after a brief illness.
Coleen entered this life on September 12, 1939, in Martinez, California, to the late John Thomas and Mabel Coleen (Dopp) Henson. She was raised in the Jane area and graduated from White Rock High School. She was a school teacher for many years. She was united in marriage on May 16, 1998 in McNatt, MO to Sidney Hughes. Coleen enjoyed Traveling in her RV and riding her motorcycle with her husband. Coleen was known for her love of life and lived it to the fullest. Coleen was preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Ray Michael in 1992 and a sister Carla Jean. Coleen is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Sidney Hughes of the home; a brother; John Anderson Henson of Branson, Missouri and a sister; Nancy Kirk of Powell, her dog; Maggie Mae, several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
