Phyllis Joy Trammell, 82, Granby, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2017, at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin, MO.
Phyllis was born April 11, 1935 in Syracuse, Kansas, the daughter of Chester David Kendrick and Sarah Jane (Orman) Kendrick. She moved to the area in the early 1960’s and was a teller for the First National Bank, Neosho, MO and several other banks. She loved to sew, quilt, bake, cook and spend time with her family and flowers.
Phyllis married Herschel Trammell on March 10, 1956 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2015. She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda (Wayne) Johnson, Broken Arrow, OK; two sons, David Trammell, Goodman, MO and Shannon (Carie) Trammell, Stark City, MO; two sisters, Rosa Lee McKnelly and Lois Ann Mighell; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby, MO. Reverend Charles Brock will officiate. Interment will follow in the Wanda Cemetery, Stark City, MO and serving as pallbearers will be Ben Trammell, Josh Trammell, Steven Dyer, Dallas Sims, Joel Carter, and Kerry Moore. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby, MO on Monday from 8:30 am until the service time at which time the casket will be closed.
