Ellick Edward Garren was born March 3, 1939 in McDonald County,,Missouri, the son of Lester Alexander Garren, Sr. and Lucille Cole Garren Anderson. He entered into rest on August 18, 2017 in Carthage, Missouri, following an extended illness at the age of 78.
Ellick was a lifelong area resident and had worked in construction and was a cattle farmer. He was a member of the Neosho Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the McNatt Baptist Church.
Ellick and Carlene Louise Martin were married on March 18, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma an she survives. Additional survivors include four children, Douglas Edward Garren of Joplin; Delene L. McCoy and husband, Greg of Osage, Arkansas; Duane L. Garren and wife, Micki of Monett and Daric C. Garren of Diamond; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Loren Garren of Goodman and Lester A. Garren, Jr. of Stella; one sister, Cloetta Brady of Stella and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Tichenor and Luann Jones.
