Bettie J. Vanhooser, of Everton, MO, departed this life on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 90 years.
She was born on November 8, 1926 in Carthage, MO to Harvey E. and Verda (Ortloff) Richardson. Bettie graduated from Dadeville High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Vanhooser, Sr. at the Dadeville Christian Church in Dadeville. Bettie attended the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She cherished her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Harvey and Verda Richardson; one brother, Harvey Richard, Jr.; five sisters, Emily Casada, Rosetta Richardson, Arietta Norman, Aletha Carl, and Beulah Strong; and one grandchild, Carl Vanhooser, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth E. Vanhooser, Jr. and his wife Marva of Mariam Woods Village, MO and Carl E. Vanhooser and his wife Bessie of Carthage, MO; numerous grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pemberton Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Pemberton Cemetery.
